Second this. I don't know what toner prices are over there but I've got a used Brother HL-2170W that I got for $20 and it works great from linux, mac, and windows. I've been able to refill it with generic toner @ $25 / t

There are fancier modern things but https://cr.yp.to/daemontools.html still works great for keeping a simple script running.

I run KDE with two 4k screens and there are two things that don't work as of 2020. 1. X can't handle independent screen scaling of two different DPIs. I have 24" and 27" screens and on windows I can have the 24" one

Yeah, there's a whole category of apps that run on heroku with maybe 10 dynos tops that could definitely be deployed on kubernetes with manual / web ui-based configuration.

The most infuriating part of this is that they haven’t implemented a functional deep linking system. I mostly come across Reddit on my phone from google, and would happily use the app to read whatever page I’m trying to get to, but the “ope

Can you expand on what's not working for you? I use KDE via Kubuntu and have found it very stable. The only quirks are desktop environment things that I don't think XFCE even does OOTB, like sometimes it fails to auto-connect blue

Yeah, is there a plan for it to long-term replace apt? I've just always used apt as my first choice and then snap for random things like spotify.

So I run Kubuntu on my work laptop (X1 Carbon) and just upgraded to 20.04 last weekend. I had a vague idea there were different competing standards for "linux apps that work across distribution" but didn't know people had suc

I don't know if it's updated for more recent versions, but I read "Kubernetes: Up and running" last year and it was excellent. It covers the motivations behind some of the decisions which helped things click for me.

The manual data upload is restricted to well-formed CSV files w/ headers on the first row right now. For the "contact us" higher tier we'll handle any file format that we can extract columns from, so parquet would be fin

We've talked with some image data providers who are creating datasets for use in machine learning. We're not running any of our own models on image data right now, so I think the place we can be most useful is in summarizing metad
