I have had more cases where I was very surprised that the local filename I used for something became part of its record when I uploaded it somewhere. (For instance, uploading an Mp3 using Discord on desktop web.)

I'm not saying I disagree with their politics, I just don't want to read it. But the same would apply even if I did disagree - you're just promoting further division.

That's a ton of effort. And often I do want to follow someone for their tech content, I just don't want their politics.

I have spent a long time maintaining mute word lists but it's never more than about 80% effective because obviously there's a lot more to content than mere keywords. Tons of false positives (trump as a verb) and negatives ("h

Yeah, if you could get cigarettes without the tar and nicotine I might even take it up.

Yeah I have wondered about that as a method. You can even just go two balls in one hand, then switch to the other side and back, and that's almost the 3 ball pattern.

Yeah I never really mastered a consistent throw - it's just not how my brain works. I got as a pretty shakey 4 ball shower and that was it.

I made a 2d game like this once for, of all things, Palm Pilot. You could tap for the apex of each ball throw.

Is anyone actually seeing a cockpit? All I'm seeing is a moving viewpoint (no plane, no cockpit...) I mean, it's cool, it's just not quite what I expected from "cockpit mode".

Probably the better solution is to include some kind of special lock-screen keyboard that provides some fallback mechanism to input any character. Presumably there are similar edge cases where someone creates a password using one keyboard

I use a third party tool with shortcut keys that cycle between: full height, left half of screen; full height, right half of screen; full height, full width. It works well for me, makes it easy to get two things side by side without wasting

That's a really nice article. I don't typically read security exploit posts but it was pretty interesting. In the section about possible attacks, it wasn't clear if those three options represented the worst things you could d

I'm just trying to imagine what kind of European vendor is willing to accept crypto for their car. The most obvious reasons seem a bit shady.

I think the idea is if you're attempting to actually use crypto in the way that you would normally use money (ie, to buy/sell stuff) then you don't want the volatility. So in theory, it takes away the volatility while living

It depends a lot what kind of thing you're building. If it's a simple marketing website, sure. But any application that does stuff is likely using dependencies that provide a lot of functionality. I make a lot of sites with maps.
