I don't know if it's just because the article is 5 years old, but many of those things do exist in my editor (vs code) with the language extensions and listing I use. Rainbow parentheses, long lines, variables not assigned to, etc

Ha, I came crawling back to macOS after a couple of years' dalliance with Windows. It was not a good experience.

Funny, I've been using Macs for 10+ years and I've never really used Expose. Often I'd be trying to select between windows that look very similar (eg, code windows), so it doesn't work. Instead, I just use Cmd+Tab, and t

Yes, but automatic or manual? If automatic, what exactly was the trigger? I'd have been tempted to explore this further - does sending fake or repeated telemetry satisfy it?

The article is very vague on what actually caused the shutdown. Does he think a human triggered the kill command? Or the remote servers do this when they haven't heard from the device in a while? Or the device shuts itself down if it c

A nitpick, but this isn't the normal definition of "to brick", which requires that the update be irreversible.

Suggestion: make it clearer in the readme what happens with malformed input. I can imagine it being useful to have a made where you never emit strings until they are final, also. I don't entirely understand why strings are emitted incr

This still seems to have the problem that the first term behaves differently from the others, and is hence inconvenient for editing operations. FWIW with SQL multi-line booleans, I tend to do: WHERE TRUE AND something AND

Huh, I don't know about that. I find it much more convenient for editing because it means the last item in a list doesn't behave differently when it comes to cut/copy/paste.
