I don't know what happened prior to today, but earlier today there was a bomb threat which was apparently removed by the site's moderators within minutes, but it hit Twitter anyway. The fact that this isn't mentioned anywhere

Even the "virt" Alpine image is unable to successfully install without pulling in extra packges from the internet. setup-alpine fails at the disk step, depends on syslinux and sfdisk.
