Funny thing is: I've tried to successfully learn macros (or a part of it) from a number of different sources, but those slides were the most enlightening source to me.

The problem is when I _want_ to remember things for certain ocasions, like, showing something to a friend, or just revisit if there is a need to. Google sometimes is inefficient for that.

Some say that Jake 2 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake2 ) actually ran faster than Quake 2. Of course there are a number of points to consider here, like the oldness of the Quake 2 code (thus a lack of optimization for modern computers)

Sure, but some (Ubuntu, for example) are just undesirable as a distro to run on an old hardware. Some don't even support old hardware, say the 586 archtecture (Pentium). More important so, distros have different goals and mentalities. I do
