Reporting back: It was fine, no better or worse than ordering from anywhere downtown but probably 20% more expensive.

interestingly there's a local startup here in Boise that is trying to pre-empt your experience. They are a ghost kitchen that also owns the logistics (delivery) the ordering software, and have hired chefs to build menus specifically ta

I think you're right. Context matters quite a bit. I have worked in places (quant / hft / algo trading firms) where "but we can fix it fast!" is not a defensible position and "fast" is not fast enough. Thi

"I’m a non tech founder And I outsource my teach overseas. I don’t trust my team." This is the least surprising sequence of sentences you could have possibly come up with. "If you’re not micro managing as a small startup, you

It seems like a desperation move, potentially a last resort? The premise of "let's get rid of the only reason anyone would ever visit our site for short term revenue" is just not where you would expect a company to do in norm

I think the fact that it does not seem "absurd" or "obviously wrong" is the revelation. It should, but it doesn't. It's clever writing. Imagine a world where engineering interviews were sane and then writing th

The best bosses I've ever had were fairly staunch servant leaders. It's a shame that the opportunist ruin the servant leadership model fairly easily though since a servant leader is very easy to mislead and manipulate by nature. T

me personally? I'm pretty optimistic, I think 8-10 years and that would be safer than having a human drive you. at the current rate of improvement I think 20 years would be shocking, I can't imagine it taking more than that.
