Yes, the only difference is that in Bayesian stats the biggest hole (priors) is explicit and in your face. In frequentist stat that "flat" prior you mention is implicit and flies under the radar.

I think the idea is to capture the kinetic energy of the Helium ions not through cooling but slowing them down with electromagnets. The high-speed Helium ions carry a large current, it's not about the ionization energy.

That's an unrelated spline algorithm to the article discussed here. Interesting on its own though.

SVG support is abysmal, most browsers don't even support linearRGB color interpolation in gradients (or elsewhere). https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/painting.html#ColorInterpolation...

Flagships have the most idiotic designs though, as far as I looked around. Low-end current year $200 phones often have removable batteries, headphone jack and dual sim support. Flagships typically have none of that.

Throw "rendering intent" into the mix then it all gets pretty messy.

Per-channel gain settings remain correct as long as the full workflow was in sRGB and you approximate sRGB with c^2.2 (where c is the channel value). Most other arithmetic is horribly incorrect in sRGB, I agree.

> Even assuming only 16 bits of randomness for each parameter Well, this is the question. How do you know that you can make that assumption? Also even though you have ~9000 parameters they could be highly dependent.

Well, not computer clocks, they just run on UTC. Displayed clocks are adjusted with the appropriate time zone selected for them.

GPS time has no leap seconds though.

I would be happy if computer clocks wouldn't be changed on leap seconds, just stick to TAI instead of UTC. We don't reset clocks/dates on DST and leap days, so why do we bother with leap seconds?

Maybe libreoffice should work on it for .odt then, together with various VCS plugins (mainly git and maybe hg). It could be an interesting differentiator feature. Sure, it's hard to diff and merge tree data structures, but it doesn

The proper way to diff .docx documents would be to Microsoft release a diff tool for .docx documents. If they released a three-way merge tool as well then it could be used in git too. git supports 3rd party diff and merge tools for specific

Well, kccqzy probably meant the pointer returned by data remaining valid, not calling data() again on a moved-from object.

I guess that's one of the reason of the do { / ... / } while(false) pattern in macros.
