Document display and document editing are rather different tasks. The DOM was built for the display of static documents. Dynamism was slowly added over the years through JS, and eventually CSS (animations, transformations, etc). But the und

Absolutely. I'd kill to be able to use Discord for work. It's just silly how much better it is than Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.

Serious question: Has anyone ever been jailed for publicly saying they've closed a short position but not actually closing it all? Is it equally illegal to say on CNBC that you closed it out, but to email your investors and tell them y

He was intentionally continuing to fan the flames of insurrection using specific lies about the status of the election, while at the same time pretending to ask them to peacefully disperse. This seems pretty obvious?

That is the thing that has always stuck out to me. The books are a master class on language. And, interestingly, the intricate language added a certain texture to the story that I haven't often encountered elsewhere. It made the story

Ballsy, I love it. Hopefully it can be used as evidence in any antitrust actions against Apple, in the US or abroad. It's clear that Apple's behavior negatively impacts consumer pricing.

Nonsense. The App Store is the Store. For god's sake, it's literally called a store. This couldn't be clearer. You don't need to muddy the waters by making a ridiculous analogy that somehow equates a computer to a member

If you can do anything to fix your sleep now, immediately, it should be done. Poor sleep is arguably the worst possible thing you can inflict on your body. It has direct links to virtually every major disease and ill health outcome, includi

I don't think that's the case at all. As far as I know, advertisers never receive personal information from Google. Google hordes the personal information and shows advertisements (provided by the advertisers) to their users, usin

Lovely post, but I now realize that I am rather ignorant of the interplay between processes and the kernel with regards to memory allocation. Any ideas on cool stuff to read to remedy this?

Hello fellow 30 year old! I just climbed over that hump a little less than a month ago and have similar feelings. My tech/internet journey started where lots of others probably began, with games. I remember picking up the magazine Maxi

How do we know the hardware will adequately support full self-driving if it doesn't actually exist yet? That seems overly optimistic, if not an outright fabrication.

Do you walk around with a sign on your forehead announcing to the world that you're a techie? I would suspect not. On what grounds do you believe that to be the basis for people not speaking with you?
