Is that what you do when you prepay for a year to get a discount and the supplier just says "oh I'll just give you half of what you paid for"? You "just move to pay again for the rest"?

Not the OP, but it might be that AI isn't as good at systems programming as it is at other domains, or it might be that you're using it differently than I am. I don't know which one it is (maybe AI just isn't good at wri

I just created (yesterday) a product tour I'm pretty proud of: https://www.writelucid.cc It's a writing reviewer app, and the landing page is the product. It's literally a document with a critique. You can write i

Yes but the process was so painful (it was very hard to tell what sections it referred to and to talk about each piece of feedback) that I created a tool just to help with presenting the feedback better: https://www.writelucid.cc

This post took forever to write (maybe 6 hours) because I used Claude to critique my writing and it is a very thorough judge. I hope you guys enjoy it!

I feel like a broken record to be saying this again, but seeing Claude's writing everywhere grates. Maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but can we at least post articles that weren't so obviously Claude?

Haha, wow, I never thought I'd see a voice model that was too quick, but 3.1 live felt like it responded unnaturally quickly! I'm kind of blown away, I'd want to insert a 100ms delay to make it sound more natural, wow. I ne

I don't work in security now, but I have. I'm talking about things like changing the default SSH port from 22, not just making things complicated for the sake of it. I think this hinges on each person's past experiences, rath

These things are always a cost/benefit calculation. Obscurity increases the cost, and it works well enough at that. It doesn't increase the cost by a lot, so it's not a super effective countermeasure, but it usually has a pos

Hmm, interesting, thanks. I played MGS 1 when it came out, multiple times, as I liked it a lot. I don't remember it being so weird, but maybe I didn't pay enough attention to the story.
