With all of the emphasis on learning how to code I think this is really useful. The insight I really like is that simply learning to type in this weird way is a big part of being an efficient programmer. Maybe when codeacademy students get

Ways to control the flow of data rely on that data being there in the first place. I'm not sure what you mean by 'many technology pundits', so I don't know what you're referencing — but my impression of the recent debate has to do with the

As an architect by training I find it really exciting to see something like this. The business of architecture is an incredible mess. Although I see a lot of big challenges in getting this to work well it's a great way to make a positive in

You can make specific workspaces public and follow other people's workspaces, but everything is private by default. We like the idea that sharing happens around a specific set of content and we'd like to develop the collaboration potential

We'd like to build something that people find indispensable enough to pay for. How exactly that works: we're still thinking about it. Not sure exactly what you mean by 'stack up', but they're all fairly comparable. Some are easier than othe

It seems to me that the kinds of applications they are trying to prevent from existing are precisely the ones that they could learn the most from and could provide them with the most new users. I also don't see how this action actually wins

The most confusing part about this is that they don't seem to acknowledge the disappointment that the public might have after reading this. Diaspora did such a good job of capturing people's imaginations, but did a terrible job of communica

People seem to like to write long articles about why design matters, but fail to show it. It's nice to read an article like this where the significance of the design work can be judged by something out in the wild. I'm neither here nor ther

I find this kind of writing a bit frustrating. Big ambitions are described concretely, while the product itself is not so clear. Perhaps I'm not a part of the target audience.

There's so much work to be done in advancing the state of readability on the web. Widely available, properly drawn fonts do a lot to help. With only a quick look this looks like a really helpful contribution. I wonder if the name is a play
