There was no DMCA take-down request. The "DMCA email" claimed to be notification of a DMCA request, but the email was generated in error.

The form letter the OP got wasn't a DMCA takedown notice. The letter stated that a takedown notice had been received. That was untrue (the file was being removed for a different reason) but since no takedown notice was sent it certainly i

There was no DMCA issued! All that indicates there was is the message received by OP, which claims dropbox as both issuer and recipient of a DMCA notice. That makes no sense -- unless, as claimed by dropbox, it is simply an automated messa

I've actually seen arguments that we shouldn't really have settlements in those areas -- more lush states aren't short of space, and it takes a large amount of infrastructure to make it work.

They also said it about the DS and 3DS. Nintendo has an incredible track record of coming up with innovative devices, people are just haters. :) (Just lets not mention the virtual boy...)

Here is a pretty interesting blog post from Gen Kanai (a mozilla-guy) about Indonesia: http://blog.mozilla.com/gen/2010/06/29/mozilla-in-indonesia-...

It is the channel ( http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel ) in between Nightly and Beta. Changes get pushed from Nightly->Aurora->Beta->Firefox. I think I've seen it described as something of a "blessed nightly".

"IMHO, neither of these other developments is as intuitive as the Lagrange multipler one; but because Hamilton's original formulation obscures it, no one in physics learns it that way." I'm pretty sure learning a bit about Lagrange multip

This guy is pushing an idea that, on the surface, I disagree with. Confronted with it, I then wonder if it is worth taking more time to understand the guy's arguments, to see if there is something of worth there. Evidence that this guy has

This was actually explained in the article, which is about cooling things down close to absolute zero. I haven't thought about this enough to see if it makes sense, but the claim is that: It's not too difficult to cool a system down to

Thing is, the way to tear down the walled facebook-style walled gardens around social media is probably by making it a seamless part of the web. Ultimately everything you do on facebook, twitter, and the like boils down to just a few verbs.

The problem with this is that the first line looks like a standalone JS statement. Python requires you to wrap the whole thing in parens, which solves that problem: Well, doesn't JS allow you to wrap it in parens if you want?

Yeah, those buttons always bugged me... the design could have been a lot cleaner. I'm not sure if Firefox Mobile has the same support for theming that the desktop does, but if so I imagine they'll be some nice themes for it eventually. :)

And, I'd assume that even if deleting history doesn't shrink places.squlite, someone who wants to create a backup will be compressing it. And a mostly empty but large file should compress to a tiny file, right?
