Should read or a VM -- I still don't entirely understand how HN determines when you can still edit a post, pretty sure I've edited posts this old before.

(This is exactly the reason Brendan Eich has said he prefers the "compile to JS" approach to incorporating other languages of a VM into browsers.)

I think I've read somewhere of an earlier game with the same pattern? It's a hard thing to search for on google, sadly.

Do you not understand how logical argumentation works? It is possible to address a particular supporting point without disagreeing with the conclusion. The scrolls issue is completely orthogonal to whether coca-cola v. pepsi-cola actually

Further -- if a game called "Scrolls" is published, it is in the best interest of consumers that another company can't put out an inferior game with the same name, and cash in on the confusion. The system of trademarks is the way that's a

To play devil's advocate, cola is an actual thing those drinks are/were made of, so that's not quite the same.[1] [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kola_nut

If Warcraft & Starcraft had been the first games to use that naming convention, it actually would be pretty reasonable for Blizzard to claim that as a trademark. Certainly, when I first encountered some other game called <genre>

It is the difference between > My opponent is an idiot and believes X to be true, therefore X is false. ( ad hominem ) and > X is false. My opponent believes X to be true, therefore they are an idiot. (Not ad hominem .)

Nope. He argued that the judge was wrong, and then suggested that it was the judge's age that caused him to make an error. What he didn't do is to use the judge's age in support of the first argument -- that would have been ad hominem .

I picked up a Brother laser printer for ~$70, and it'll print thousands of pages on a single cartridge.

I'm pretty sure the immune system already does basically that. I tried to find some specifics on wikipedia, but apparently the system is incredibly complicated!

MW tables aren't really a monstrosity -- I doubt a better text editable table format that maintained the flexibility could be produced. But yeah, there are some problematic holes in MW, especially when you consider how wikipedia is used tod

Maybe you missed the last line? It wasn't a "possibility", but an account of an actual event. That said, I'm always saddened that folk don't consider such a possibility in interaction with strangers -- especially when it doesn't cost the
