Yeah, but the the mare success of a service like perma.cc relies on trust. How does someone trust you that you will be here in 10, 20, etc years? Harvard has been around for hundreds of years, Harvard has inbuilt trust, Harvard has funding.

Yes, I think this is the major factor to consider. If it’s only the cost that’s stopping it from replacing real people, then it’s a matter of a few to max several years to be more than cost effective.

I created something similar a few years ago. It's been running fine for me and several other people. Its free, too. It's calm too, although it updates as often as 1-5 minutes. I'd be happy if someone gives it a go and shares
