It's way too soon to say it didn't "take off". Chipsets haven't been available to integrators for that long. Maybe 1-2 years for non-early access customers? Plus, if you're judging success by looking at the con

What answer are you expecting? This question is borderline flame bait.

I see a different "shape". To me it looks like the same accessibility song and dance that happens every time a GUI library is the topic.

Yes, it's the same real-time bandwidth concept being discussed here, except up to 2.5GHz in the paper.

The processing that goes into the phosphor and waterfall displays is usually overlapped FFTs, which is also the processing for a lot of common channelization techniques. So yes, probably not so much in the commercial space, but certainly ve

I've actually been a victim of something similar. Visiting a state park I followed a random popular trail I found on All trails. It turns out it was popular because it took rock climbers to the face of a rock wall up a steep sketchy sl

In SATCOM, the link budget determines everything. In the link budget equation is the gain of both the receive and transmit antenna. If your phone antenna has a small gain (for a cell phone, you can consider it 0dB gain), then it has to be m

I wouldn't worry about that. I'm sure the military can unplug some computers.

It starts to get better between 6-12 months. They will sleep ~12 hours at night (mostly solid), about 2 hours of naptime per day, and can start doing better playing by themselves for periods of time. Combined with having grandparents watch

I suspect most people would agree with this. What they don't agree on is how it gets paid for.

Incorrect, you are disabling RF transmissions when you go into airplane mode. GPS usually stays on, since it's receive only.

Yes of course, but anybody doing anything non-trivial is selling it to the government and not writing about it online. Using the spectrum or waterfall as the input to an RFML system is very common and in my experience works pretty well. A l

What's your definition of competing? The 2 big satellite internet companies Hughesnet and Viasat both appear to have larger revenues.

You seem to be confusing ITAR compliance with some sort of security classification. Two different things, and SpaceX deals with both of them.

You will come across Hilbert transforms in a signals and systems or DSP course, which you would take in an EE/ME undergrad. A lot of the work in this space was done by mathematicians which I think contributes to the abstraction level a
