That's what I'm pointing out though? That it is runtime type validation and not type safety. They are two different things, the only common is the word "type". Please read the comment again.

I have to stretch my imagination a lot to see how "type-safe" can mean "it throws at runtime".

For this software to be appealing it would need to really be type-safe, meaning you'd need to use TypeScript. Type-safe means I can change an interface in project B and project A that depends on B now shows me errors in the editor exac

It's not pedantry, you're using the term wrong. I understand why it can be confusing if you are just using JavaScript and you haven't had the experience of type-safe codebases. Type-safe does not refer to runtime anything, it

Type Safety != Runtime Type Validation. Something being Type Safe means that I, the programmer, am Safe from making type mistakes while developing and maintaining the software. For that to be possible, you need a type system that is embedde

It's failing to start, tons of errors in the console. The language looks good, and I'd like to give it a try but I can't find any repo of the compiler/LSP extension so I can try it locally, it seems only this hosted IDE

I had seen this happening. I was running webgl shaders in chrome in a pipeline where i was passing the result of the previous screen to be processed by the next, then sometimes I would get portions of other app windows inside the result

Funny I just saw venus earlier and i've never seen it actually have a visible diameter rather than just being a bright dot. It does look like a small sphere right now.

Ok, I had never seen it simplified like that though, and definitely wasn't aware that from a random coin you can be net positive if you cooperate, that's a surprise to my knowledge and I find that idea very valuable. Edit: also I

Seems reasonable to me, go with it. I mean, it also makes sense even at a societal level, would you rather people around you when you walk in the street be content/satisfied or looking out for a victim to steal from? I'd rather al

The article seems pretty reasonable to me, the theory seems to work. Can you clarify which part of it you find problematic because I don't see it in the article? Edit: here is also the source code for the cooperative coin, if it helps

Looks great, congrats! For those wondering, it's a Web Components framework in the style of Next.js. Web Components are standard HTML elements, hence HTML-first (at least that's how I interpret it).

This reminds me of the Chaos programming model[0], the idea is you just work on whatever is (seemingly) the most important issue you encounter, without any higher level planning. Usually at the end of some work or integration there are tons

It's not the same because with Wasm you only need to distribute a single binary to support all current and future platforms.

And also varying the latency from one system to another can alter the timing behavior of dsp code which will definitely change the sound.

When you look at red, you see red. You don't see "frequency" or "light" or any other thing we invented to describe red. When you say red I know immediately what you mean because I am also experiencing the color re

I'm not trolling. There is no concept of frequency in the color red. Frequency is an abstraction/reduction you make in your mind in order to explain it. The real phenomenon is "red". Frequency is just a concept that work

Subjectivity is all you have, there's no extreme version of it. And ethics is also something we define. In any case, you have to make a jump and make a metaphysical claim that you can't prove. There are two possible claims: 1) The

I don't remember perception starting and so far i have no indication that it ends, so it's all assumptions here because "perception end" is something i cannot know, empirically.
