I only have experience with flatbuffers in C++ (it seemed easier to be integrated in a project back then). Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of flatbuffers vs protobuffers?

Some people I know literally share LaTeX math in emails and chats and assume my head has an internal LaTeX-compiler to understand it (usually I do). I guess this means people are really accustomed to writing maths in one go in LaTeX -- it&#

It's just some symmetric encryption with a randomly generated key (in the hash of the generated url). Meaning you now have to find a way to safely send this URL ... and you are right where you started. It's no safety at all.

This service is begging the question. It encrypts a secret message by ... generating a random password and using symmetric encryption. If only there was a way to safely pass the password that encrypts my password. Or should I recursively us

I'm excited about BLE for the browser. I'm not sure what multiplatform (mobile & desktop) alternatives there are except for Qt, and even Qt has bugs and open issues you have to work around. For instance, only Qt 5.13+ has supp

C++ devs are encouraged to do loopless programming by using algorithms in the standard library; plus C++20 ranges should improve the ease of loopless programming. Where J shines is array based programming. The C++ algorithms are concerned w

Not really a real-world app, but a simple QtQuick with Qt3d app worked pretty well. When it comes to app sizes, a vanilla Qt app produces an apk file of ~15MB, which is reasonable. I had troubles accessing external storage (the SD-card), an

Yes, you can use Cantor's diagonal argument to enumerate all triples. No, it does not answer the question whether every integer can be written as the sum of three cubes; it only would if the set of integers was finite.

Not all containers though, since C++17 std::vector, std::list and std::forward_list do support incomplete element types as long as the allocator meets certain requirements. So std::vector<Node> is definitely OK.

I'm not entirely sure either, but maybe it's meant to be interpreted in light of the 'existence precedes essence' concept of existentialism. 'Being' might then mean leading a life where one choses their destiny
