My impression is that Github actions are more convenient, as jobs are split into steps, and steps share the filesystem state

How does this work when locating libraries recursively though? It seems --inhibit-rpath only applies to the current executable: # Create a.out <- one/libx.so <- one/sub/liby.so $ echo 'int g(){return 42;}

I've never seen that linker trick before to avoid rewriting rpaths! Very cool

clang++ also is just a symlink to clang, and clang uses the filename to change the language mode to c++. So why does that work?

If you want something fast, note that ( https://github.com/haampie/libtree-in-c ) is currently faster than ldd: libtree-in-c $ make CC=musl-gcc CFLAGS="-Os -s -static" musl-gcc -Os -s -static -c libtr

The CMakeLists.txt is very poor. Just use find_package(Threads REQUIRED) and do target_link_libraries(... Threads::Threads), and use target_compile_features or target properties to set the C++ version. Right now the CMakeLists.txt requires

In Julia you can do `@fastmath ...`, which is basically just a find-and-replace of math operations and does not propagate into functions called in that code block, even when they are ultimately inlined. So what it does is: julia> @

Point 2 is very problematic though, you can write a browser extension that compares the checksum of app.js, but if it changes and it is just minified obfuscated code, how will you know it's safe to execute. You don't. Same applies

I used to think this was pushed by some of the large tech companies that do not have a popular OS and are forced to turn the browser effectively into an OS. But both Github and VS code are owned by Microsoft now.
