Tomorrow on Ask HN: Which PAAS (psychedelic-as-a-service) would you pay the most money for?

Sometimes. Because there is flexibility in the type of work that I can do, the lifestyle is fairly comfortable, pay is okay, and it can be very rewarding if you're solving problems that are just around your skill level. Other times mos

I also find some of the syntax peciliarities and their combinations difficult to look up. In addition to & and *, there's question marks, dots, double dots, square/round/triangle brackets, empty parentheses and apostrophe

Threads like this one remind me just how different the US is from Europe. It's astounding to think that it was even possible until now for delivery apps to operate in this way, or that this is somehow a controversial issue.

These things can be difficult to notice by yourself because they just seem normal to you. It takes an outside observer to point out that you're exceptional at some fairly small or commonplace task.

So much of that book just goes over my head while I didn't have that problem with ESL. I don't know if it's Murphy's writing style or just the way he approaches the topic but I found his book significantly more difficult

That's good. Replication is valuable for science. Boring is fine. Thinking that boring results aren't useful is exactly how we ended up with the current problems in research. You just need to make sure that you don't give sci

Trello is great for small projects and for personal lists and boards. I certainly wouldn't want to manage a complex project with a large software team from Trello.

Thanks for sharing, this is great. It's also a bit intimidating and overhwelming. There is so much to learn and there is also a danger of just getting through textbooks that cover the same material that you've read before or cover

That's the point that I'm trying to get across. Don't assume that your experience applies across the board and everyone can spare double digits of their salary. Depending on where you live and how much you make, 100% of your
