Even something like $1000/year for every citizen will be significant enough to affect lives of some people. Assuming over 20% of Americans have near-zero amount of savings, this can be just enough money to avoid eviction, or pay off cr

I've stumbled on a bunch of good quality podcasts following freemium model, where they share a part of the content exclusively with their patrons. I'm guessing it earns them more money than ads.

I should've given more context. Based on my anecdata in post-Soviet world, ~50% of graduates choose a job completely unrelated to their degree (e.g. a chemist becomes web designer, a linguist becomes QA engineer, and economist becomes

I don't see anything common in structure between postfix `unless` and examples of garden-path sentences, which seem to be based on word ambiguity. Nothing is ambiguous in e.g. `print(x) unless x != 0`. Although admittedly without synta

You can't just blame Amazon on loss of business for brick-and-mortar bookstores. In my country we don't have Amazon, yet paper book sales are decreasing because why buy if you can just download for free. And if you want to pay, it

As a normal user who wants privacy, you'll be just fine with LineageOS on Xiaomi. Assuming you don't install spyware later. You don't even have to install Google apps (see f-droid and Aurora store).
