Well I consciously notice that Knives Out is a pretty good movie, so I think the conversation of what we subconsciously notice or not in this case is pretty silly.

If you didn't read this post, you would have had no idea the painting was CGI. Calling it lazy is probably as justified as if your boss called you lazy for using a third party library like Python Requests instead of writing your own ht

That's what people do. They remember the good and forget the bad. In 10-20 years people will look back and remember the "good" CGI movies from today and forget all the shitty ones that came out along side them. Rinse and repe

This is my experience as well. There were plenty of people online vocally against Python3, but once we hit 3.4 I never worked with anyone IRL that was against it. The mindset was almost always "this is the way forward", so that&#x

If you have a long time customer (especially one who brings in as much good publicity as Troy Hunt) and you look at their billing history this spike would be a clear anomaly. Writing off an $8k bill to keep a customer around and happy for y

Some people have poor circulation. Even with whole home climate control their extremities (hands or feet) will be ice cold for awhile. Sure, there are more modern ways to warm your hands and feet, but a hot water bottle is cheap and easy.

I just assumed they never took off here because tea isn't as popular in America. The only people I know who own kettles in America are people who regularly drink tea, including myself.

I was a Google Play Music user on iOS. I switched to Apple Music after Play moved to Youtube Music. Compared to Google Play Music, I found the entire experience to be worse in Youtube Music and got zero benefit from the switch. After using

I am curious what Google Play Music's share was before they shut it down in favor of Youtube Music. Myself and a few friends were using it until they shut it down; we basically split between Spotify and Apple Music based on what OS we

I use KeePass everyday and I really love it. But I would never recommend it to a non-technical person over something like 1Password or Bitwarden. It's a great piece of software, but the user experience is about 15 years in the past.

I would look at consoles first. Why would someone buy a Playstation, when you can now buy an Xbox + GamePass and get access to a large chunk of the biggest games?

I couldn't tell you what they are doing, but Netflix easily has the best app experience out of any of the streaming platforms and it isn't even close. I've been using HBO Max and Disney+ a lot over the last few months. Plenty

You could literally replace "Netflix top 10" with any popular media that was a boogey man in previous generations including rap music, video games, MTV, rock and roll, horror movies, etc.

This scenario you present isn't exclusive to Linux or Mac though. I have seen this play out a number of times where a friend in my group finds a game and convinces us all to play it together; the difference is we are all on Windows. Th

I recently got some masks from Home Depot that work really well with glasses; they are 3M Aura Particulate Respirators (N95). Nice nose piece, and they are designed to direct the airflow outwards/away from glasses/goggles. Edit: F

I would check what TV you have and what patches are available. I have a smart Sony TV, but I've only connected it to a network twice to get patches. I did so once because it fixed an audio issue that was very annoying.
