I dont think mobile games are entirely indicative of what the gaming industry is. The rampant cloning and wild west nature is kind of a characteristic unique to mobile. Cloning and stuff still happens in other gaming mediums, but it has nev

My palms got sweaty just reading the hotmail portion. I think someone could make a really great horror book that is just a collection of stories like this. I know it would give me nightmares.

I really appreciate that Notch seems to always communicate his opinions, whether I agree with them or not, in such an intelligent and fair way. I think he hit all the right points with this post especially about his initial investment in t

This is really interesting and I appreciate knowing the technique that went into coming up with this conclusion, but I find it kind of weird to see the article mention that the plane crashed and killed all passengers so factually. People ne

Seems really cool and easy to use. I love how it's as simple as an on/off switch. Still though I would like to know more about what is actually going on. As others have said, being open source would be neat.

While I am not saying this is some universal truth or anything like that, but I have found these kind of articles to be wildly popular amongst cynical students at my college. There is something about the idea of "The world is fucked, a

While I agree completely that it's a bit outdated(sorry, potentially putting words in your mouth) and has the potential to be pernicious(see the parent of this thread), the easily skippable part is what makes it ok with me. I found the

Yeah I can't believe those deceitful bastards at the Smithsonian would dare float the idea of a possible subscription to their magazine before you read their article.

Finally had a chance to play Three's since it came out on android today and it honestly just made me want to play this more. The games are very similar, but 2048 is just more enjoyable to me.

I believe that is part of the whole knock against spritz. In German, where some of the founding members of Spritz are from, spritz means a similar thing that squirt does in American culture.

While I agree that it can be annoying, pradn was using it in a very lighthearted manner. I think it is grating when people use it to shutdown a discussion don't find worthwhile.

They way my parents did it for me was by identifying what I really enjoyed and what I had no interest in. They would encourage and push me to try new things and do what I was interested in, both in and out of school. When I did bad in schoo

I would love to see hard numbers on that, because it sounds like bullshit. Most non-tech people I know have no idea what a Nexus phone is because there is no promotion for it. Those that have a Samsung phone got one because they knew it was

I have worked with numerous programmers who try to avoid front end design because they just can't wrap their head around it. They can write great code that is easy to read and works great, but when they have to make an elegant or prett

No just baffled that you would think someone would be in awe because of your superiority. When I work with people I treat them as equals and expect to be treated the same way, not to be looked down upon.

I am 100% positive this was just an exercise for the developer, not an attempt at getting people to actually play his clone. It also gives code for people who wonder what goes into making a game like Flappy Bird, which I have been asked twi
