Just FYI, but no one outside the tech scene knows about Google's reputation for dropping support of their products or their eroded reputation in regards to do no evil. I have tried talking to people about it and they really just don&#x

I disagree. The natural business model will be a mix between subscription services and free to play games with micro transactions. Microsoft (and others like EA) is already moving in that direction with game pass (monthly subscription gets

Even a short novel is fine. Outside of the points you listed, I think shorter is better for potential readers as well. I am a pretty avid reader and would never pick up a novel by a first time published author that is 800+ pages; the time (

Yeah, that's kind of weird. I think they said that to reinforce that this will be the exact same game. Thats great, but not providing the port team the source just sounds like they are trying both arms behind their back.

I've heard people dump on Warby Parker for being cheaply made, but honestly their stuff doesn't seem any worse then what my insurance covered at my optometrist. Also as a side note, my first pair from Warby Parker had the lenses g

While some parts might (I am do not work for FAA so I do not know), ATCs are not covered. This article [1] covers it better then I will. I will only add that I do have multiple friends who are ATCs who are currently planning to not get thei

I hate the TSA, but this shutdown affects things like ATCs who actually provide value for air transportation or you know, many of the other government agencies hit by this shutdown.

The counter argument would be police departments rarely buy this equipment - it's given to them as part of a program between the Pentagon and law enforcement. They get the vehicles (and lots of other military grade equipment) for a hug

I have found the HN crowed has a rosey view on trade jobs that doesn't seem to reflect reality. Family members of mine are employed primarily by trades (lots of plumbers, some carpenters and electrician's) and a lot of what you sa

I agree there is an unwarranted stigma against blue collar jobs, but I think HN romanticizes the professions as well. I have multiple people in my family who work as plumbers and carpenters and it's not as simple as you make it out. Wh

A lot of what you say is true, while also casually ignoring the many downsides to being in the military (such as being in situations where you are forced to kill or be killed). I have a lot of respect for the military, and part of that come

I made the switch from Android (always used Samsung or Nexus devices) to iOS two years ago. My two issues with iOS: - Siri is absolute trash. I've given up on using it for text messages. Even when just using it for timers it fucks up.
