I don’t have experience in this but it sounds like obstacles put in place precisely to stop the bulk data extraction you speak of, and force lock in. Off that’s the case you’ll find it very difficult to change. I’ve found in other business

Sponsored by the autonomous car industry? But anyway, I have a feeling that in the long run they probably will be. In the meantime they share the road with human drivers and the real benefits won’t be seen until its just autonomous vehicles

$0.01 / photo with forever storage? My feedback respectfully - it doesn’t sound feasible, have you worked out the commercial viability? I see you’re using blockchain, so further questions: 1. Does it cost the owner or their friends $ t

Maybe we all shouldn’t be greedy. Maybe profit as the objective is not the best objective. I’d like to see other metrics in the boardroom drive companies - social good, environment, data privacy, customer service (ha!) and so on… Not just “

After tough years for corporate profits due to covid, is it too simple that this inflation is the corporates trying to claw back additional profit that was lost during those years? It certainly seems likely

Well signal isn’t taking personal data or targeting people with ads, so no. Signal afaik cant access your data and it’s open source so assume has been proven.

With inflation though some one/group is making the extra money. Assume for a moment it’s the wealthy as they own assets, shares in companies etc. The argument that “if regular people got pay rises it would fuel inflation” may be true b

Only 55%? The other 45% (minus those CEO’s getting 16% pay rises) are either ignorant or extremely lucky.

That’s it right - they get the goodwill of “we value privacy, look we gave you e2ee” and yet they still get to use your data and serve you targeted ads. Creeps.

Perhaps it’s the death of variety (in general, yes there are some individually excellent films every year or two). Have a look at your 2023 disaster list.. superheroes and remakes. I’m bored with the same old movies, characters, plots… have

Choose one stack and start small. It’s the only way. Just one rabbit hole can cost you months of time you don’t have. My stack is node and Vue because it’s all JavaScript and Vue feels easier than react.
