If you’re outside of SV there are plenty of jobs and less competition. I’d suggest give it a go for a few years and if you don’t like it then leave but it would be a shame to give up before you’ve even started.

Let me know if you have any specific questions I may be able to help. The incumbent PMS and DMS vendors have the market captured for large law firms and the systems are generally slow and expensive to change, but smaller ones have more saas

I work in the back office of law firms and tomcam has made a good suggestion, to look t software for law firms, because I can tell you the “digital transformation” all other industries have been going through for quite a few years has only

I’ve jumped around a bit, I’ve done many different tech roles in end user companies (client side). I’ve found I love three things - designing tech solutions but only what I’m passionate about, business (non-tech: finance, risk mgmt, commer

ELI5 would be good if someone can provide. It looks like it connects you to deta.sh which is a cloud server… (?) so you’re not connecting your personal devices directly at all. Is that correct?

I think it depends what type of side projects you’d like to create. A few thoughts: 1. For web sites and web apps it would be good to learn a popular front end (react or vue, webpack or other build process) and/or backend (node.js or p

This is a great article, I’d also love to have the freedom to work on what I choose rather than what I’m paid to do. Congratulations on reaching that goal, it’s huge.

I think you summed it up with Hand is subset of Table is subset of Tournament. When creating a new table randomise which Player sits where, with Dealer being a bot Player that has rules on how it plays its hand. Keep an isActive on the Hand

Every time “we must stop x because of small group y” comes up I wonder if there is some other ulterior motive. Why would we punish the masses for the poor behaviour of a small subset. Figure out ways to punish the subset and let everyone el

I’m seeing a big push in the corporate world to get workers back in offices. Any idea why? Is it just the rent they’re paying and they want that to be got a reason? Is it that CxO’s believe we’ll all produce better work off in the office? S
