I'd love to try it, but unfortunately I don't own a Mac, nor an iPhone. Besides, I wonder how long it'll take before the perverts take over Facelette, it hasn't happened yet I presume? For people without 'Apple products and stuff', try htt

How about Jobs misinterpreting a blog-post bij the makers of TweetDeck, by using it as an example of how terribly difficult it is for developers to write for the 'fragmented' android platform. Just a little later the CEO of TweetDeck (@iain

Yes, topic specific hashtags would be possible. However, I think the chance of a channel becoming active enough to become interesting is bigger when it's targeted to an existing community. Like HN. Thanks for the notification suggestion, wi

Had a great conversation with a fellow entrepreneur a few days ago; so I figured it might be nice to have a 'channel' on BlurryPeople that allows you to talk to fellow HN'ers. Let me know what you think!

It runs on my Froyo firmware (JPK), however, the voices are very robotic (you can barely understand what's being said). Here's to hoping they fix the version for the Galaxy S soon. [Edit: hm wait, this might be my provider limiting VOIP ban

They do sure take their sweet time with the new version. In the meantime we're catching quite a few of former CR users on http://www.blurrypeople.com . Which, ofcourse, is a little more extensive compared to CR 1.0. (Also see http://new

Great points, thanks. We'll think some more about how we can communicate the concept better. Furthermore, we might have to delay the request for mic/camera access as it could scare people away (other have pointed this out as well). I'm not

The introduction-video shows the effect. However, this might not be enough to communicate this concept to visitors. Will think about how we can improve this. Thanks!

Won't people understand the system doesn't connect you to anyone unless you click 'search'? Because if they do understand, why wouldn't they want to share their camera and mic? Anyway, thanks a lot for your advice!

I've read about chatroulette on HN a few times. Most of you point out it needs some form of filtering to become something useful. So here is our approach to something that will, hopefully, work better: - it has a feedback system that allows

So I take it it's ok to just wander around the Berkeley and Stanford campuses? Some quick googling tells me the apple/google/etc campuses are, understandably, not open for visitors. Is that correct?

Thanks for the Plancast/Meetup tips. A startup event sounds interesting indeed, although I'm not quite sure I can convince my GF to join me in visiting one :) A lunch meet up sounds nice as well, if there's time I might just shoot you that

Yes indeed, good point. How would you share tracks with a friend that's not on facebook though? You won't be able to just drag&drop, as this doesn't work to a user's profile-view. Right?

Great news! Also, they introduced a new plan: Spotify Unlimited. For half the price of the Premium plan you will be able to listen to unlimited amounts of ad-free music. You won't get offline playlist support or access to the mobile version

The problem here is that these sites are able to continue to operate because: 1. The people that register don't search the web for reviews, but instead are simply persuaded by trustworthy-looking TV/newspaper-ads. 2. Negative word-of-mouth
