It is based on the Wii Omega trim, which is a cut down original Wii motherboard removing all the non essentials. Some components in this build are reconnected to the board using a flexible PCB connector, but the core is just a cut down OEM

I've been using some of these off-brand n100 mini PCs as a homelab cluster for the past year or so. Their physical size is smaller than a Raspberry Pi with case, and performance is more than twice a RPi5. And you get full x86 software

Agreed. One of the reasons I use Linux and other open source software, is not to be dependent or beholden to a single company. I can't count the amount of times I experienced or read about others experiencing a company doing a rug pull

AAA can make use of beefy GPUs, but equally it can run on more pedestrian hardware. If AAA games sold only to those with desktops and high end graphics cards, PC gaming would have died a long time ago. Even today, many games run fine on Pas

I find that Fedora generally just works, has a lot of very up to date packages and requires a lot less tweaking and setup work than something like Arch. If you don't need cutting edge software packages and run older hardware, I've

Let's not write software and especially programming languages which assume or depend on users having access to advanced tools that require a monthly subscription.

I don't use KDE (anymore), but I do use Konsole and gave Kate another shot about a year ago. Konsole is the best multitabbed terminal in my experience on Linux. I tried more "modern" or fashionable ones, but Konsole works gre

What benchmark is this? Geekbench? Geekbench is notoriously inconsistent across platforms. Not saying the iPad chip isn't faster, but I wouldn't judge by Geekbench scores alone...

I have children myself. If I want them to dance I can also just turn on the TV or their tablet. This is just a minor upgrade over that.

Steam allows for adjusted pricing based on country. It is common for games to cost more in US/EU versus other regions. Additionally, and perhaps perversely, much of a games sale volume tends to be generated during seasonal promotions (

Remind me again, why do people connect their TV to the Internet? I used to work in the space more than a decade ago, and even then the privacy invasions most major brands did were inexcusable.

SSDs become slower as the fill up, and wear leveling has less available space to choose from when writing data. But filling up an SSD should not brick your volume like that. This is a filesystem implementation bug, not a user error.
