Thanks. English is not my first language and I never heard it with the H dropped before, so I was afraid I was just chronically exposed to an error and copied it.

Don't you also pronounce the "h" in hotel? I always say (and write) "a hotel" instead of "an otel".

Since it's a prototype, I don't think costs (in the range of 64*$1.2) are any kind of problem.

I have a Netflix US account (over VPN, since I live outside the US), and after all the coverage it had gotten, I was really disappointed with the catalog. A lot of the shows my girlfriend was hoping to watch are unavailable, and the movie c

I agree, though Firefox's awesomebar (if it's still called that) already integrates search, and seems to autocomplete to things I've never visited with suggested search queries. This might be related to my use of the DuckDuck

This is the first I hear of these Sim900 boards. Are there any other boards like it? Possibly 3G compatible models or slimmer versions with just soldering leads instead of jacks? I guess you could easily remove the jacks anyway if you neede

I have to agree that the sentiment seems strange to me. All my employers have had multiple receptions, celebratory drinks or lunches where alcohol was served and consumed. No one ever got drunk or misbehaved because of it. People are smart

You say this as if rejuvenation would be a good thing. Rejuvenation would further divide the poor from the rich, as the poor are unable to afford such treatment. Wealthy dynasties would continue to acquire wealth (because wealth builds more

Guarding against side-channel attacks in any language is hard. Guarding against them in Javascript is probably impossible. Whether you would take Javascript over C is irrelevant. It would still be a terrible choice for a security framework.

JavaScript would be terrible, because it's easy to hide unwanted behaviour in counter-intuitive corners of the language. Besides the language peculiarities, a garbage collected or interpreted language is very vulnerable to side channel

The bug has "only" been present for 3 years. I think no enterprise appliance new enough to ship with an affected OpenSSL version is old enough to be EoL.

Machine level languages like C and C++ aren't necessarily bad tools, even in their current states. However, I agree that they might be bad tools for the purpose of writing security libraries.
