It's very beautiful. I wonder how far they intend to restore it? I would pay quite a bit to see it as it is now, let alone further restored.

I like that picture of Dijkstra, but the one on lemonodor is better: http://lemonodor.com/archives/2007/10/youre_doing_it_wrong.h... Zach Beane is awesome. PS: And where is Linus? I guess he doesn't dress stereotypically enough.

I don't even know where to begin. Any app that attempts to masquerade as something other than what it genuinely is earns immediate blocking and deletion from my page. I am hesitant enough to add any application unless I can see its source

Same, and with special emphasis on The Diamond Age. Also Douglas Adams, Vernor Vinge, Richard K. Morgan, and all kinds of other stuff. I like to read almost as much as I like to program. Best nonfiction I have read in a while: "Leaving Mi

Pfft. Anyone who would ridicule me for buying porn is right to do so. Porn is freely available on the internet. Seriously, though: I could care less about what shows up on the feeds. Anyone who would criticize or judge me for what I buy

I would argue that it is perhaps the most important quality of all. Always remember that this is someone you are _starting a business with_. Anything less than true friendship is likely to cause grief later on when the going gets tough.

As someone who has never used a Lisp machine, it interests me to hear about the complexities of the machine. I have been considering buying one, perhaps through the same detailed here: http://fare.tunes.org/LispM.html . I don't think I'

Maybe I'm not understanding you, but are you saying beyond 35 the risk plateaus? This graph seems to say otherwise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Trisomy21_graph.jpg I wouldn't even consider starting a family later than 35. And loo

I kind of wonder if there is a middle ground. There are two different posts on the front page right now: one deriding the idea of co-founders and one from someone desperately seeking a co-founder. My (worthless) advice is to let it happe
