We don't- you need to explicitly instrument. I think auto-instrumentation is great for web because you already have a clear DOM structure. Mobile is more difficult as it's native code and 1 to 1 mapping to UI elements is not as cu

We actually had a good number of customers in private beta from before our launch but it's grown by a factor of 5 since then. It's true though that the lower the denominator the higher the growth percentage that you can quote.

Direct access to querying on your data via a data warehouse (Amazon Redshift). Localytics' sales team will say they have that but if you actually try it you basically have to build an entire ETL pipeline yourself (I'd encourage yo

The most difficult part is selling to a hospital. So if you can crack that half of the problem the technology is the easy part.

I know you think it might come across antagonistic in an interview, but I wouldn't be offended if you came in and asked us these: > Who's the weakest person on your team? The newest hire to our company. It's not a total or

Surprising how difficult this process is. You'd think that publishers would be careful about having matching names and icons so that it'd be easy for people on Android to find an app when they see an equivalent in the apple App St

I'll be forwarding this to our lawyer when we implement the legal paperwork on our stock option plan. We already do 1) and 4) as much as we can. If anyone here has any ideas of how else we can be more friendly to employees with regard

Whenever I read HN and see an extremely anti-startup comment I always know it's from you. For a while I'd get angry reading your comments, but I'm actually curious- What on earth happened between you and startups to make you

Wil Chung holds the record at 7 last I checked. I actually have a huge amount of respect for him for being so persistent. If I were an investor that'd be the thing I look for first.

We don't share data to any third parties. We do look at aggregate traffic internally to ensure we can meet demand. We also will go into people's accounts if they ask us to for support. I'll make that more explicit in our poli
