I think I agree. Although, aren’t all employees cost centers for their companies at some level? For example, companies would choose cheaper employees for the same output, if possible, even if they are responsible for a lot of revenue.

Any flight buffs know the estimated cost of doing something like that? I’m all for having fun, and I love that they spent the money to do it

I’m all for journaling approaches, but I literally laughed out loud that their first recommendation was digital journaling (aka “plz try our app”). It kinda hurts the credibility of the rest of the list.

I think the author was saying that the order of Vegas is better than the seemingly disorganized look of those apartment buildings. I doubt he was trying to argue that Vegas architecture is the best design possible

Glad I’m not the only one who thinks my cell speeds have gone down. Maybe the tech needs time to mature? Did the switch happen too early?

Totally agree. This reminds me of the Innovator's dilemma. The small company comes in, does one small thing really well, and then expands until it overthrows the large incumbent.

Very cool! You could probably sell some kind of low-effort physical product, similar to: https://shop.lasertweets.co/ . I bet there's some folks who would appreciate the coasters of their favorite repos. Or, even lower

Maybe the apps themselves are stable enough that the engineers working on them have to work on something. Is there an example of a SaaS product out there with more than one developer that isn’t interested in adding features? I don’t know of

It’s amazing how a few bad bananas can negatively impact a culture, isn’t it. The most attractive thing to me about entrepreneurship is what you described. FAANG companies so often have a few bad actors that set off a series of actions and

Are we even surprised at this point? Legal ramifications for these security breaches are a joke. Consumers just keep getting worked over.

Congrats, OP! What a great change. Out of curiousity, how did your relationship with food change? Also, did you have anyone in your life that supported you along your way? What was most helpful?

Yeah Microsoft is an interesting case, since they aren’t as impacted by ecommerce spending. As far as I know, they haven’t launched a completely new service/offering that would require that many people. That might be a case of them cut

Many tech companies made the same assumptions in the last two years (e.g. online transactions/ecommerce will stay at COVID levels). Those assumptions turned out to not be true, so they are course correcting to match the current economi
