You're right, but I'd be more concerned about ppl forgetting to cancel with a 30 day trial. A 14 day trial is short enough that it'll stay on users' minds.

And if you're determined to get rid of it, you should not give it away- you should sell a chunk of it off for a substantial amount of money just so the incoming party has the same interest in making it work. In otherwords, who ever you give

If it's money you need (would you stay on if someone offered you an angel round?), consider asking for funding, kickstarter style. We're all very impressed, and we think you should stick with it.

This would be huge for people that have strong beliefs - especially religious beliefs. I think I read of an index fund that tracks compliant companies for a religious group. I think it could have been for Jewish or Muslim people - it's an a

I was seriously just considering ps3 vs xbox 360, Sony's just made my decision so easy. I'll never buy a thing from them again.

That can't be right, since the each point in the data is independent. In a 50/50 coin-flip game where you get 9 coins come up heads, the probability that the next coin flip results in tails is still 50%. What you need to understand is that

I don't want to be a dick, but you do have some amount of control over the probability of you winning the lottery. If you don't play, it becomes significantly more difficult to win.

Does anyone else see that this offer will drastically change the tone and success rate of YC startups? Constraints (in the form of funding and time) were a large part of YC. Entrants got a low (but livable) amount of money and 3 months to c
