Well, they could put in a memory controller for both DDR5 and HBM on the die, so they would only have one die to tape out. The Max variant is something they are using in their own datacenters. It would be possible that they would use an HBM

This is very unlikely, but it would be interesting if Apple included HBM memory interfaces in the Max series of Apple Silicon, to be used in MacPro (and maybe the studio, but the Pro needs some more differentiation like HBM or a NUMA layout

I know we are talking about car type lidar, but the iPhone Pro has a type of one and gets a depth map of photos. So you’re shooting it everyone you are taking photos of.

Optimus should probably have LiDAR more than a car…

Yeah, the idea that companies bend over backwards to protect credit card information but not data on the user is mind boggling. Except when you think of incentives.

M.2 slots? M.2 SSDs have drive controllers on them, but in the Apple Silicon world, those controllers are integrated in the SoC. They should absolutely not reuse the slot type for incompatible products. They should make one though, their st

Seems more like the phone batteries went to zero and then power came back on and they went back up but obviously restarted. If you are not looking at a phone all day, you may not have noticed that the power was out to them over some weekend
