I’m surprised there is no word of combining old school symbolic AI with the new ML derived versions we enjoy today.

Not only that, but having a constraint often feeds innovation. Having to work with less compute might mean new ways of doing things that leads to faster iteration, etc.

Actually, it’s just obvious when you design the most basic ALU and the circuits for doing the carry.

The ACA was a huge change. People generally know about the parts about mandates et al. The provisions for moving beyond paper was one of the biggest, and most relevant to people here. Examples are the use of electronic records, the incentiv

Often it’s 100 applicants in the first hour. My advice for both sides: don’t use job boards. Use your own website.

Oh yeah! No, reduce to not reduce by. Though at the time I was eating a few things that had high calories that I didn’t realize so it would have been the same.

Not sure why you are downvoted. It’s a difficult problem, but lots of angles on how to deal with it. For example: https://arxiv.org/abs/2412.15176

They always return the same output for the same input. That is how tests are done for llama.cpp, for example. To get variety, you give each person a different seed. That way each user gets consistent answers but different than each other. Y

I remember this story of “hackers” discovering that the train company disabled trains being serviced by competitors. It’s a shame they are being sued. Hopefully, they raise enough to do painful and invasive discovery.

That’s great! My point was to minimize stuff that will get JITed—like console functions. People don’t realize how much code is in there that is not native.

For the love of god, please do not do this example: for (int i = 0; i<1000; i++) { console.time() // do some expensive work console.timeEnd() } Take your timing before and after the loop and divide by the c

Oh, absolutely, with your own hardware you need planning. Time to deployment is definitely a thing. Really, the one major thing that bites on cloud providers in there 99.9% margin on egress. The markup is insane.

This seems like something that could be in hardware to allow native execution of the instruction. Is that not the case anywhere?
