I was thrilled to see that SICMUtils, FDG and friends are there as one of the examples! This looks awesome, and thanks for taking a look at those projects :)

Adding one random bit increases the entropy by a bit because there are now two possible messages - your message with a 0 or with a 1. Add a bunch of noise and you add a bunch of bits; entropy is average bits per message.

Hey, I have... I'm a co-author of Algebird[0], which has many ideas that I'd pull over. I'm hoping to introduce Clojure's "spec" or "schema" libraries so that the types at play can at least be inspect

This sounds like Brent’s method for root finding! Also very similar is his method for Unitarians minimization. I ported this into Clojure recently from Python / FORTRAN... not quite literate programming but well documented if you want

If anyone wants to play with these ideas in Clojure(script), take a look at the SICMUtils project: https://github.com/littleredcomputer/sicmutils I picked up co-maintenance on this project a few months ago; it's

If anyone from Stripe is reading - is it possible yet for me to simply donate money to the portfolio you’ve assembled without running a business? We purchase monthly offsets now and I’d love to switch to funding direct carbon capture (and w

I’m guessing this means half its size along one dimension - if I have a square of side length 2, I can break it into 4 unit squares (or 2 rectangles as you said).

I can report that this is not true in this case - Brian wrote his book over the summer and, I think, wanted to get it out for the Unix 50 event at Bell Labs this past week.
