I stopped using a desktop about a year and a half ago as my main development machine. MacBook Pro 15" is my main development workstation now. When I work at my desk I plug it in to a keyboard, mouse, external monitor and ethernet. The only

I agree with all of the above and will ad a few things that attracted me to use Lua as the scripting language for our game engine: - Data can be easily constructed inline without a lot of extra syntax - The interpreter is very fast - Functi

It occurs to me that since this part of a child pornography investigation, 16 weeks in jail for not giving them a password might actually be a far lighter sentence than if the key was provided and illicit material was found. I don't condone

I tried for a while to use variable width, but I do a lot of data driven work in Lua and find I make 2 dimensional grids quite frequently, and unfortunately, there's no good way to line them up with a variable width font in a text editor if

Don't forget to factor in the cost of fuel for the truck and the lawn mower, as well as maintenance and any government fees. Otherwise, I like your plan.

I grew up in Berkeley and lived in the Bay Area until I was 27. I moved to Seattle 13 years ago and have no plans to return. I don't miss the weather at all, in fact I enjoy the generally cooler summer and actually having some variation (I

I like the app, and if there is indeed an iPad version, that would be fantastic. I played with it a bit this morning and posted a review. Here's the gist of what I said: Pros: - The music font looks really good, very clean and readable. - T

Except that the app scrolls the music along one staff. You'd still just get one staff, and it would be gigantic. An iPad version that could show a whole page would be much more useful.

It sounds like even the original sponsors feel like the provision is incorrect. Now we have a conundrum. If the provision is repealed, will people start running airplanes in to buildings every time they want law changed? Seems like this guy

I've had three cf bulbs crack at the bottom and had the same concern about mercury vapors. One thing I've noticed is that the bulbs that failed were all very inexpensive bulbs from the multipacks I picked up in discount stores. I have never

Paul Krugman and several other economists have commented on this article and basically make a good case that it's a fear mongering Wall Street fed pack of lies. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/23/opinion/23krugman.html http://prospect.org

I concur, it seems as simple as that. Android doesn't have the momentum, the sexiness, the tight hold on quality that the iPhone has. All of these contribute to its success, and, well iPhone got there first, that counts for a lot.
