You don't actually have to take your belt off for the full body scan. I left it on once by accident and wasn't questioned, nor was I the next dozen or so times I've flown.

Perhaps space technology would be invested in more heavily if there was a finders-keepers policy in effect.

I can squirrel away money at my current bank. It doesn't require opening a whole new account and I have the money when I need to, guaranteed - no transfer wait. Anything above a small safety savings should be in a money market account

I've found the trick to email is filter/delete/archive with extreme prejudice. It's hard to fall into but-I-might-need-it-later mode if you never saw it in the first place.

Beside the high interest rate and getting to say you have an account with GS, there's really no upside to this. You don't even get checks. You have to wire money in and out.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. BofJ does not hold 90% of Japanese stocks, just 90% of stocks in the Nikkei 225 index. Still interesting but very misleading title.

You're not wrong. Philly really does fly under the radar, but they're there. The only "startup" I know with an office in Pittsburgh is Uber.

Going by the diet and extreme hours they obviously have a young group of engineers convinced that their lives should revolve around work.

I expect to see Philadelphia continue to rise on the list given it's access to university students and super cheap cost of living.

I know the feeling. Having moved to Go from the Python community I felt extremely scorned by the lack of a lot of features. Why should I have to write a for loop to traverse this list just to see if an element is present? What I've fou

This is a terrible article. It takes something HRC said decades ago, contrasts it to something she said recently (out of context of course) and presents it as a concrete cause and effect scenario. The ACA took a monumental amount of effort

Digg has actually transformed into a decent content curator. I believe they use a combination of human and computer generated content recommendations. Even the ads are pretty high quality.

The advantage with go is that errors have to be handled right away by the thing that may have caused it. The is versus, say a try/except with a dozen lines of code in the try, and then something like `except KeyError: pass`. You may ha

As far as I was aware, plane development has pretty much plateaued as engineers have eked ever diminishing returns from materials and aerospace engineering. Commercial airliners today don't look much different than planes manufactured
