This looks like an incredible achievement. I'd love to see some photos of the physical device. I'm also slightly confused about which FGPA module is being used. The blog mentions the Xylinx Kria SoMs but if you follow the links to

Interestingly, the most recent comment on that post is from 2023 but when I tried to make a comment just now I got an error saying "Something is wrong with the spinner". According the the article the spinner is a hidden field that

I'm also from the EU, not the US but I have a hard time believing that Americans believe that monopolies or large dominant companies represent anything but the corruption of the concept of a market. Anti-trust laws in the US are some o

There is certainly a lot of discussion around semantics to be had before we can agree on what exactly an LLM is capable of. We know that LLMs tend not to be good at math. Some people will say that the fact that an LLM cannot sum two numbers

If there are effectively infinite ways to produce a PCB layout that fits the requirements written in Ato, how is the second step done automatically in the final part of the demo video? If it's not done automatically, then how do you en

The final part of the demo shows the output of the automatic build as something you can upload directly to a PCB manufacturer. How does this work given the output of the compiler is a netlist, not a PCB layout or Gerber file?

The LAPD have said the graffiti will eventually be removed which seems rather pointless for a building that is probably eventually going to be torn down before it's finished. https://twitter.com/LAPDCentral/status&

What are your thoughts on the large amount of keyboard flex in the 16" model as reported by LTT and specifically do you have any official recommendations for fixing it maybe something a little more robust than sticking a few thermal pa

Increase in entropy does not imply decrease in complexity. Actually physicists believe the relationship between entropy and complexity is more of a bell shape curve. https://youtu.be/MTFY0H4EZx4

But is there any claim that Snapchat automatically filters messages and alerts the UK security services?

As far as I know, Snapchat messages are encrypted. Just not end-to-end.

A private Snapchat. If someone dobbed him in it would have to have been one of his friends which assuming those friends know him well would be an even crazier thing to do than to make the joke.

When the authorities you've placed your trust in have demonstrated they're incapable of doing their job to keep you safe, it's normal to take that authority back into your own hands. It would only be hysteria if the Boeing in

There are two questions at play here: 1. How much of other people's work did Mark Dawson plagiarise in each of his books? 2. How much of other people's work would someone need to plagiarise before you consider it to be unethical?

I tried pasting it into ChatGPT 3 (I don't have access to 4) and it responded as if the hidden characters were not there (I checked and they were definitely included in my paste buffer). I wonder why this trick works on 4 but not 3.

I'd like to think that we've made progress in web development in the last 14 years. I wonder if people like JGC still experiences this kind of issue on certain websites?

But if that's true, then there's even less excuse for not fixing the bug because it would imply at least one person knew the slow loads were caused by loading a small 10MB json file.

I also cannot explain it. If I was a dev on a system that had a 6 minute loading time, I'd be stopping what I was supposed to be doing and debugging it after a couple of days of suffering through it.

Well in Europe, you pay about £23 per flight just for a carry-on bag and £30 per flight for a check-in bag so I'm not sure things are any different here.

Continue has a "headless" mode which might be what you need to integrate into other IDEs. The fact that it already supports two different IDEs is a good sign that support for more can be added in the future.
