To some extent yes, but humans tend to make moves that follow some kind of reasoning or logic. When you play a strong opponent, it's possible that you won't see the next move that they play, but once they have played it, you can d

I think you are mis-reading your parent comment. They are saying we should be humble when it comes to predicting all the things that could happen when manipulating such a complex system as the climate. If our best science is saying there ar

I'm just getting my feet wet with shaders myself. Could this fragment shader be used in a "real" 3D game? At the moment, the sphere is orthographicly projected onto the screen so the sphere will always appear as a circle rath

I think it's more justifiable to require a prepaid subscription for a dedicated safety device. The difference with a phone is that you're much more likely to have it on you even when you haven't paid for the satellite feature

What is it about this trial that stands out to you? I can tell you it's a very unusual example of a civil trial in the US so I'm not sure how it is supposed to compare with a criminal trial in Russia.

Your scenario is not equivalent here. You could reason that a sentient student could be motivated to write a paper about why they were not sentient as an exercise in philosophical or critical thinking. There are no consequences of successfu
