Maybe someone has the answer to the main reason I'm not using Firefox: Is there a (sane) way to map Cmd+D to highlight the URL bar? I was trying to do this about a year ago but it proved insanely complicated. I managed to update omni.j

But, if it's actually true that symptoms are milder than those of Delta (which has been the indication), should we be embracing Omicron with open arms? Just hypothesizing here - it'll take a good while until we have actual useful

Whoa. This goes against common sense. Stop and think for a bit: How would there be transmission going on in the world at all if there were no asymptomatic spread?

They reduce at around 33% with Delta. Used to be 50% with Alpha. Not any breathtaking amount.

Exactly. We only restrict society to the point where it's practical . And this is where we run into issues with Covid restrictions. Some arguments sound just like this, that we should lower speed limits to the point where practically

Won't this present issues later on? In a couple of years your immune systems won't be properly "trained" anymore. Something like this happened in New Zealand with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) already: https:/&

I mean the vaccine doesn't prevent transmission/infection for Delta (or Alpha) either, it just makes the symptoms milder. Edit: For whomever downvoted, here you go: > Prior to the emergence of the delta variant, it was reported

Curious: Do you always disregard anything coming from right-wing media news outlets? Coming from a European this seems like a massive omission in news input, which logically seems to lead to echo chambers and polarisation. There's tons

Getting vaccinated is also a good option if you're concerned about your health. In fact, the optimal might be to get vaccinated and then get Covid on purpose. Thus you get the mildest possible case. After that your immune system is pro

What? I have no clue where you're getting the "1000x viral load" from? And in any case if you're young and healthy there's nothing to fear from Covid. The only argument to be made is that the vaccine slightly decr
