I think the amount of vitriol in this thread directed at one of the most successful tech entrepreneurs of all time is sad. He may be too optimistic in his predictions but at least he has goals worth achieving and doesn't stop just beca

I have a little script that I use on the CLI to do this kind of stuff (calls an LLM to figure out how to do CLI stuff) but you can just as easily now use any of the coding agents.

I'm running GPT-OSS 120B on a MacBook Pro M3 Max w/128 GB. It is pretty good, not great, but better than nothing when the wifi on the plane basically doesn't work.

Interesting, I have completely stopped using the editor at this point and do everything through the agent except reading diffs.

I think that the commonly used refactoring functions would make a big difference and right now most IDEs are pretty bad at them (especially across all the languages jetbrains supports): - rename variable/function - extract variab

Using AugmentCode's Context Engine you can get this either through their VSCode/JetBrains plugins, their Auggie command line coding agent or by registering their MCP server with your local coding agent like Claude Code. It works f

I really can't understand why JetBrains hasn't integrated its refactoring tools into the AI system. Really missed the boat on making their platform transformational for AI coding. Imagine how much smaller the context would be for

Did the title of the page change as only advisories are shown on the map. A warning is a very specific thing where the tsunami was seen and is coming.

I think that Java virtual threads solve this problem in a much better way than most other languages. I'm not sure that it is possible in a language as low level as Zig however.

I hate that their model ids don't change as they change the underlying model. I'm not sure how you can build on that. % curl https://api.deepseek.com/models \ -H "Authorization: Bearer ${DEEPS

I built my career on being in these meetings and have split my time between strategy and coding. You have to do the work to understand the concerns of the company and weigh those with your technical opinion.

Also the copyOf isn't really the same as being able to || things since it just happens both copyOf default is 0 and in this case it is also 0 (i.e. what if it was -1 to indicate there was no version).
