I'm not sure why you're getting downvoted? I was in Tucson in the summer in a rammed earth house (about 2-3 feet thick as you mention) and it was comfortably cool inside. The whole house had very large eaves, as well [1] [1] I don

I use Simpletask too. I still wish for a bit more out of it, but I appreciate the tag/project list and the UX over the official todo.txt Android app

Hmm, I found the Android app lacking - can you link which one you use? I much prefer Simpletask (Dropbox version) which works with the todo.txt format but has neat filter features. I really need to see a list of all my tags of my projects g

Good to find better ways to deal with the plastic we have, but we should probably just stop making so much conventional plastic.

This is really nice! As a Hindu & vegan I wish I lived in your delivery zone :) (I live way out in the Pacific ocean, though) In any case, cool to see you're trying a more narrow approach, and the website explains things well and l

Isn't it ironic [1], don't you think, that the vegan option has less carbs than the 'keto friendly' option? Tofu has less carbs than milk. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironic_(song)

Unrelated, but lately I'm frustrated that so many household items I want to buy are mostly available only in some kind of bulk pack. No, I don't want 6 bottles of dish soap if I don't yet know I like it. And it seems sometime

Seems the opposite is more true, i.e. "how healthcare is changing big data". Also I don't see doctors becoming "just as good with data-crunching as they are with medicine" because doctors don't have time and pr

At the startup (in the US) I work for I was lucky to have been able to take 12 weeks off at 100% PTO. I can't imagine working somewhere that didn't offer extended paid paternity leave.

I feel that way too regarding choosing Typescript. It's a real joy to use TS and I'd be depressed having to ship plain JS to production again.

As a Hindu, yes, but I don't pay much attention on the fact. The awareness is confined in the body and freed at death to pursue another body, but sometimes gets distracted or stuck in this world.

I don't see how he can expect people to take him seriously, but if he's paid off by industry it doesn't matter. Defecation isn't a choice. Medically if you need to poop, holding it until tomorrow is not safe.
