yes. contrast: 1) Beaker is language neutral from the ground-up, and not only can you mix languages, they can communicate. IPython does not have good support for multiple languages in the same notebook. And the backend is still pretty py

javascript because 1) you can program anywhere, 2) it has incredible libraries for multimedia and interaction which makes it fun, 3) you can share the results with one click to anyone 4) it is a highly marketable skill a lot of other people

a few long intense sessions will do more for you than many single games. you need to play over and over again, ideally with a stronger player, right in a row. not once a week. do it 8 hours in a row. if you can do it several or many day
