that's a bogus comparison: if you replace windows with BSD you aren't running windows anymore. if you replace google's maps app with one from openstreetmaps you are still running android.
396.
by spot 15y ago
yes it is. if you don't like the closed-source apps, you can run your own pure replacements.

If you ship it, you can put your own name on it. That's what's noncontroversial. This has nothing to do with "corporate dominance". RMS was trying to dominate others by telling them how to talk. People find that kind of pedantry annoyin

i don't think it solves the "starts to hurt" problem. it's not the touch that causes that, it's holding your arm up.

Security in general including ChromeOS. It has security built in from the ground up, it's not just leaving out everything but the browser.

When he showed the graph of the number of tweets vs the number of bitcoins he lost me. This is an apples and oranges comparison. http://bitcoinreport.blogspot.com/2011/01/bitcoin-transactio... It's just FUD.

I use both and trust me, the back button is good. Your browser has it... even on iOS. Do you have a problem "remembering" where it will take you?

by spot 15y ago
yes but during deep sleep you still sense the passage of time. when you wake up after general anesthesia, it's like changing channels. very weird.
