I think most people, including from the opposite end of the political spectrum, aren't necessarily down on Obama the man. But they are down on the vagaries of his administration.

I might be missing the point but I think the issue is that the WSJ (and others) are able to extract 'sensitive data' from sites like Rapleaf. So that might be contrary to Rapleaf's policy but in reality their business model enables the diss

Sounds like an intriguing offer. I'm not sure where you are in life (job, family, et al), so let's just assume you are in a position with nothing to lose besides your time in this situation... I would consider the vested interest. If it's a

Worth noting that this article wasn't an attack on Facebook necessarily. WSJ has been running a series of stories on privacy issues for weeks now, this is just the latest story. I've read many of the articles and I have to agree with most o

Is anyone familiar with Tom's Shoes? http://www.toms.com/ The gist of their company is that for every pair of shoes they sell, they give a pair away to children in impoversihed countries. Seems like a really nice thing to do. That said, I

The company I work for is trying to come up with a solution of it's own... We're working on tagging our products with RFID. That way, we can show the inventory of the products online for consumers to see. Not only that, we can help our reta

I've also heard of similar arrangements where companies pay a certain percentage of the salary (if not the entire salary) for the duration the non-compete. I don't think it's very common, especially lately. I've never received that type of

You have some good points. But there is another side to consider... In my case, in large part I was hired specifically for the customer contacts that I brought with me. So for my company to tell me that I could not work for a competing comp

I'm in sales so I'm customer facing. I'm just saying that you are basically asking your employee to not work for the duration of the non compete clause. I don't see how that's acceptable for people unless they are earning so much that it's

I refused to sign the non-compete that my current company asked me to sign. It was a deal breaker for me. And a former company asked me to sign a non-compete after I had been there for a year. No chance, didn't sign. It's obvious why compan

I like the Meebo design, pretty cool. I can't imagine scrolling through each person though, just too many. Might be better functionally for a smaller group. My company is working on a group blog style page for our profiles. IE, letting each

I like the idea and my initial impression is that if you can truly deliver all these features, with excellent news content, $1.99 might be too low. I would almost consider scaling some of the features back and focusing on simplicity and con

You are correct that 'real' means royal but it also means true or authentic (similarly in English). I think that probably more accurately describes their intention behind the meaning of the name. When I lived in Brazil in the 1990's, shortl

Bill Parcells always talks about determining where football ranks as a priority for his players. It doesn't have to be the top priority but it better be near the very top (family, faith would be considered acceptable 'higher priorities'). H

Love this idea - Would also like to see: Return policy - don't like how much the government spent on Amtrak, get a refund (no questions asked). Customer loyalty program - earn points towards postage stamps or a national park pass. Discounts
