We all already have a life coach each, the holy Jesus. Through our communication I have not only improved my physical and mental well-being, but have also solved quite difficult programming challenges.

Southern conservative states in the US have much better service than in Japan, because it's authentic and enthusiastic. Other countries service is adequate, but there is always a tinge of resentment and jealousy of us here in the US.

Not a bad idea, in all honesty. Conservative states are already leaning towards this, and it's something that every reader on this forum should generally support.

This is the correct stance to take. I've been to other countries where tipping hasn't been implemented, and the service and quality has _always_ been worse than in the grand USA.

Interesting that it's also using React - normally landing pages, even for React libraries, don't need the framework itself. Wouldn't a plain HTML / CSS site work better here, served from a robust backend?

Why would a God-honoring American want to travel overseas in the first place? We have more natural wonders, more freedom and equality than any other country in the world. We're also unique in that we're the only nation to be a mel

Agreed. Perhaps a bit radical, but we should get rid of GUI altogether and enforce that new applications should be command-line driven.

What's the point of having a responsive UI?

In my experience, most greybeards on this forum will be able to recall that command from memory. It's part of the reason why HN is the place to be, these days.

I understand your pain completely. I actually wrote a custom extension for myself where instead of using Google search, it'll automatically redirect and use the Wikipedia search.

This is important: please respond. I generally disallow electron apps on my personal machines as a matter of principle.

I don't know about you, but I vehemently agree with the GP. I've taken a Model 3 right through the middle of a tsunami and the water literally parted like the Red Sea thanks to the innovation of Musk. My family and I were far safe

Exactly. Anything else in the world, you can find in the US for cheaper and higher quality.

I wonder how many people don't value his opinion because (they assume) Carmack can't solve LeetCode as well as they can.

Luckily this forum doesn't have any of those - and if any claim to be, it encourages curious discussion, so I'm willing to chalk it up to playing devil's advocate.

Interesting thread. Are any of those strictly illegal?

Nesting is a solution in search of a problem. Combining classes has worked fantastically for me over the last 15 years.

At least they can solve LeetCode medium / hards, though.

I hope 40four can be flabbergasted at Elon's Twitter that the account is now allowed. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33986234

Exactly. This makes Elon Musk smart, as no one has ever tried not paying rent in order to negotiate before. Wonder why not many people try to do that.

Brilliant.

As someone from a southern US state who faces similar "caricatures", there's no need to pretend and hide your feelings. Instead, I think we should join together against those who would oppress us and keep us down and uninform

> No one reads the terms of service. This is false. Some of us actually do, and I imagine most enlightened HN readers do as well.

False. The best UI library are those where you can build solid, readable and long-lasting terminal UI's - so nothing on the web.

Why is this comment not getting traction? Seems like it wants to spark "curious" discussion - not everybody has to believe this in order to discuss it.
