Interesting. Looked at this way, OpenAI is perhaps less ‘closed’ that I thought, since they’re making LLMs available cheaply to so many people, not just the elite with access to the computing power.

Don’t laugh at me, but is there a vector database solution for MySQL/Mariadb? It’s been my database of choice for years

I use the google stopwatch[0] and then keep the hours in a spreadsheet per project. I've tried fancier systems but this is what works for me. [0] https://www.google.com/search?q=stopwatch

OP here. This is a reddit thread I found where users are discussing their relationships with an AI chatbot, Replika. It seems it is becoming more common for people to develop attachments with AI chatbots. For some people in the linked threa

This looks similar to shell_gpt[0], does yours do anything differently? [0] https://github.com/TheR1D/shell_gpt

Is it not possible to write a script which repeatedly attempts to run the code, then sends the errors back to GPT to be fixed? Then it changes the code based on GPT’s requests and runs it again, refining it until some test condition is met

That seems very reasonable! Thank you for testing it, I’ll give it a try on some of my own repos soon

I’ve had very good results from running the code and pasting the errors back into ChatGPT and asking it what to do. Sometimes it corrects itself quite well

I’m not prepared to install this at the moment, but if you were to give an example of costs for what I suggested above, it might convince me to try it out

This is extremely interesting. I have a few monstrous repositories I’d like to try it on. The thing I’m wondering about is the cost. How much would it cost to run this on the entire WordPress source, for example?

Very good point, but easily solved - just tag the docs as being generated by GPT-4, and make sure whoever reads them knows it.

Let’s not assume badly of them. The real reason is likely that the person who changes it to black (dang?) isn’t around to do it right now.

I’m curious why you think we’ve already reached a saturation point for propaganda? There are still plenty of spaces online, in blogs, YouTube videos, and this comment section for example, where I expect to be dealing with real people with r

Any profession which involves digesting, analysing and organising information will be heavily affected by GPT. If you are the guy manually writing code to extract and interpret information from CSVs or articles, it might take you hours long

Sure, but I doubt most of the population will filter everything they read through ChatGPT to look for counter arguments. Or try to think critically at all. The potential for mass brainwashing here is immense. Imagine a world where political

After reading the propaganda campaign it wrote to encourage skepticism about vaccines, I’m much more worried about how this technology will be applied by powerful people, especially when combined with targeted advertising

If you’re interested in the strange world of industrial musicals, I highly recommend the documentary Bathtubs over Broadway. They touch on the work of Michael Brown as well as other composers. [0] The associated book is great too, and the a
