PII just stands for personally identifying information. If it identifies you, it is PII. Even if it isn't linked to any behavioral data explicitly, the fact that its in your DB means they are associated with you. Thus email and IP are

That seems rather risky. I see lots of people rummaging through recycling cans on the street for the recycling value of the cans and bottles. Or someone could just throw a big gross thing on top of it.

I think the medium article has a different and interesting take and conclusion about what the real issues may be. I agree it is quite long.

If you want to have constant day lengths, you can't make sunrise your reference. It's physically not possible. There are (almost) exactly 24 hours between each solar noon. There aren't 24 hours between each sunrise, that'

If its a fluke, they make short term profits. If you adopt a new policy that makes health insurance cheaper to provide in the long run, your competitors will force your prices down to that new price, lowering your profits.

If you have a plug-in hybrid, you often have the choice between gas and electric, without even using a different car. Hybrids easily beat 30mpg. For example, the Volt is capable of 48 mpg with no charging on gas only. On electric only with

I never signed anything with Equifax, but they still have my information. I'm sure the great majority of the ~140M records they have are in a similar position.

I don't see a particularly good reason to ever have a balance over 1 burger anyway. It's unlikely you went to burger king and spent money and didn't want to eat a burger.

This was my immediate thought as well. If you don't have problems with your emotions, of course you won't try and tell yourself "I shouldn't feel like this".

I had an idea for a website password system: instead of letting the user set a password, you just give them one. Prevents password reuse, which is the only thing that ever really commonly gets anyone's account hijacked in my opinion. D
