The only "unicode font" I know of is the Noto family. > Noto helps to make the web more beautiful across platforms for all languages. Currently, Noto covers over 30 scripts, and will cover all of Unicode in the future. https:&

I think most people use laptops over desktops as their primary computer, so some younger people may have only used touchpads over mouses. Though I don't really pay attention to people's mousing skills.

Yes, Nvidia would like that as well. I expect them to further cripple more non-gaming applications on the Geforce line going forward.

I'm fairly used to using basic undo/redo as a timeline already. I spam "undo" often in vim just to yank something into a scratch window. I might accidentally make a change that breaks my redo path back to the present, bu

I usually launch persistent one liners inside a `bash -c "while...`, just so if it starts using resources I can easily see what is the original purpose in the process tree.

Yes. When the dust settles there are still 70M almost worthless original shares that will be held by someone. But in the meantime, there are 70M short shares that need to be rebought from the 140M original+loaned shares. The idea is that fo

The argument that cops are not workers, in a Marxist sense, is because they work to protect the interests of capital, rather than do "productive" work that is useful to the rest of the working class. It's not a broadly held v

BERT is much smaller than GPT-3 (500x fewer parameters), not sure why the article doesn't point that out more explicitly. The mentioned paper itself notes a 300,000x increase in compute used for training language models over the last 6

The Google/Nexus/Pixel series phones never seem to be perfect. I just don't think Google has the hardware DNA. On the other hand, pretty much every Samsung and Apple phone I've owned has been perfect hardware-wise.

If the client-side solution is so simple, what's the problem? There are many things on the web where, if given a clean slate, it would be nice to change the default behavior. This doesn't seem to rise to the top of that list.
