Thank you for saying this, it needed to be said. Lets all remember, PG is in business to make money. He does that by selling the upside and lifestyle as much as possible.

A database of such information might be sued out of existence, but a meta-search engine wouldn't be. There's nothing libellous about having a really good targeted search engine focusing on say lawsuits.

Why not move them all to /bin instead? /usr is a relic of the times when unix systems were big hulking monsters the side of fridges. and hard disks the size of washing machines. You kept a separate /, /var, /usr, /home, etc because you had

This is something that has been bothering me for a decade. and I know what is wrong with it. The problem is not the technology. It would be trivial to fix email technology. The problem is the people running email servers. They're the worst

You didn't apply to a startup incubator. You applied to a local vanity project. Local/city governments all over the world are trying the "incubator" fairy dust in an attempt to seem hip and with the times. The "analyst" you spoke to is real

It's nice to see someone who actually remembers Palm. It's amazing how many people simply forget all about Palm altogether yet it was the thing to have in the 1996-2004 era.

I'd say the technology is the least impressive part of it. It feels like 303/acme from 1996. Only on gigahertz machinery instead of a 486. and using hardware acceleration for very basic 3d effects, rather than software generated texture/env
