I don't disagree :) There's no silver bullet for 51% attacks, and proof of work uses unconscionable amounts of electricity, which is why Ethereum is transitioning to proof of stake.

Yes, Ethereum is transitioning to proof of stake. Proof of stake is more secure than proof of work because an attacker must acquire a large amount of ETH each time they attempt an attack. Attacks against proof of stake are incredibly capita
